History

The late Reverend Dr. Timothy E. Ruffin founded the Beulah Baptist Christian School in September 1997 as an extension of Beulah Baptist Church purposefully for reaching children for Jesus Christ through Christian education philosophy — – educating children in developing a biblical worldview as opposed to a worldview that embraces secular humanism, which esteems man as the chief end instead of God.

In September 1997, a small class of five students started the first school year. The year ended with 14 Kindergarteners who were promoted to the First Grade. The following year of the school’s operation, the enrollment reached 57 students in grades Kindergarten through the Third Grade.

Traditions

With God’s hand of blessing upon the school culminating in successful execution and operations for the first three years, the Church’s Board of Trustees mandated and commissioned the continuation of the school to the Eighth Grade.

Reverend Henley William, a visionary leader and current Pastor of Beulah Baptist Church, together with a steering leadership of the Board of Trustees, the outstanding administrative leadership of our Principal Mrs. Judith A. Barksdale, committed and dedicated staff/faculty, the school continues to provide academic excellence. and reach young people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ who is the ONLY source of all wisdom and knowledge. In addition, on that premise, all instructional goals and curricula activities, which educate students, are based on biblical values.
